I’m just like you, because I want answers. So come take my heart away. Don’t look it up, it’s always cancer, so come take my life. A couple of years go by, and now it happens all the time. I’m not saying sorry, i’m not trying to complain anymore. All the trees are dead the colors start to fade. Anxiety Season is on its way. I left my heart in the belly of the whale. My ship’s run aground. A couple of years go by, and now it happens all the time. I’m not saying sorry, i’m not trying to complain anymore. All the trees are dead the colors start to fade. Anxiety Season is on its way. If you wanted to drain my blood that’s all you have to say. I’m not like you I found an answer

Look around, settle down. The war is over - the ships are leaving shore. Take a breath, get some rest, relax your shoulders - the good guys lost again. and I’ve already died. I’m alone again with no one to blame. the butt of my own joke and I keep telling it again. all alone again with no one to blame. just make this look like an accident. I gotta say you look great with your head held so high. Endurance suits you well. A couple pills, dollar bills - the world is all yours. go out and give them hell. And I’ve already died
3.
Down in the gutter where the bleeding hearts Won’t go. What a pity that the life you’ve always known is not worth saving. And it’s always raining, feels like frozen gasoline. All the street signs fading, but the hearts are raging. Down in the alleys where the burning hearts grow cold. A dying city where the broken hearts all know the past is fading. And the times are changing, but i wanted you to know that i’m always waiting and you’re still worth saving. And it’s always raining, but i wanted you to know that this town can change your blackened heart to gold. What a pity that the life you’ve known in this shit city that could never be a home. what a pity all the broken bones, but you’ve always known the world is changing. Down on the corner where the cheating hearts grow cold. Heart of the city where the bleeding starts to show, and it’s never changing. In the black of morning, under six inches of snow the wine keeps pouring, and the hearts are raging.

cut your heart out again and feel the blood pour out. Pull your teeth out one by one, break your fingers just for fun. It’s a long way down. How perfect it must be to wake up and feel nothing. Shave your head and paint it black, get so high your veins collapse. Let them watch you drown. She’s barely getting by. Racing to a red light. All that’s left is time, but your luck ran out. The world just keeps on turning out all wrong. The earth just keeps on spinning out of control. There’s comfort in the cold, a peacefulness in freezing. you could save your soul, but your luck ran out. You’re Breaking your own heart. It’s a long way down.

Cleaned Out 02:54
a new wave of old school. Same game but with new rules. When the headlines become footnotes you’re a square peg in a round hole. Piss poor and shit housed fucked up and we’re cleaned out and the good times and bad pay, two roads and only one way. I’m in the market for a cross to bear, i’m giving it one more year. Hope tells such a flattering tale and i’m all ears. I’m trying not to lose my fucking mind. I’m lying, I do it every night. big time, small stage, limelight, but we’re dead weight.

Phantom 04:03
two dozen roses on an empty grave. A working heart just looking for another soul to save. Promises that will stay un-kept. empty prayers. Folding chairs and cigarettes. Sing songs of heroes and heaven. probably never knew all those who called themselves your friend. staring through another empty glass. hard to think it’s all in the past. and i can’t go anywhere. i hear you everywhere. forty-two and change just like me. you never had to hear the tears echo from your family. twenty years that just came and went with stolen cars, broken glass and no regrets. I can’t go anywhere. You left your shit everywhere, so we sing.. coming down, i haven’t felt like this in so long. but you’re not around to tell me that my tone is all wrong. We were enemies and friends. Red eyes in the sunset. just another day goes on... south side breaking down. Stolen vans were never found. And I’m still holding on for one more song.

Bird Bones 03:26
you might say i’m dreaming, and i might say you’re right. we’re halfway to the exit now, but it’s alright. but i won’t say it’s nothing, and you can have it all. The light went out in our hearts that night, but it’s all right. Hearts break with time, you’re the only one to blame. I would give my life. You might say i’m dreaming, and i would say you’re right. We just missed our exit now, but it’s alright. i never took the money, and you could have it all. the lights went out in our hearts that night, but it’s alright. So let’s break the silence. Burn with the sun. swallow horizons, there’s just so many ways to fall. Hearts break with time, you’re the only one to blame, and I would give my life. So sick, divine, you’re the only to blame and i would give my life. there’s just so many ways to fall.

Sundays 03:19
all my friends are gone. they’re either dead or just moved on. Sobered up or straightened out and learned to get along. You’re not drinking anymore. But you’re not drinking any less. I won’t tell if you don’t, some secrets are for the best. So i found it in a life lived underground. hearts are pounding, enraptured by the sound. Hard enough to heal you, loud enough to kill the heartache. Hold on to this feeling for as long as you can, because the Sunday crash is coming on. You’re not seeking truth. You just want to die. you can find the meaning while still missing the whole point. The past becomes a dream that’s waiting there for you. I just needed something, someone, anything would do. how long do you think you could stay strong? Because we’re going to smoke it down to the filter until it’s all gone, so hold on.

oh no, they stole the love right from your heart. Hold still, let me suck the poison out. move on, this place is not your home. these goddamn vultures tear the flesh right from your bones. I swear i will love you until i don’t anymore. And i’ll come back for the cheap thrills, i’ll be your hangover. So let it all fall down. Let it burn. the rain can’t find us now, so let it burn. Lights low, i know your whole face by heart, and i can see you crystal clear out in the dark. let it all fall down. let it burn. Torch it to the ground. Let it burn.. so low, how they emptied out your heart.

so let her dance like no one’s watching, because tonight nobody is. If she’s going home, she’s going there alone without you. she’s going through the motions making plans she’ll never keep. if she cries herself to sleep, she’s doing it in peace without you. do you remember when you surrendered your name To all the wrong people in all the wrong places again? if she drinks tonight with someone, it wouldn’t be with you. everything is fine, she’ll do another line without you. if she walks the streets forever, searching for some truth, if she’s freezing to her bones, she’s doing it alone without you. Do you remember when you surrendered your name to all the wrong people in the wrong places again? It’s a goddamn shame that summer feels so far away, and it’s forever December but i still remember your name. Do you remember? if she’s praying for forgiveness to anyone that hears, she’s waiting by the phone, doing it alone without you.

"Are you a Minneapolis punk band that likes rock, or a Minneapolis rock band that likes punk?"

This is an actual question from an actual person who is quite smart, and it's our bio for now.
